Why does margarine have milk ingredients in it?
I’ve noticed (when reading the ingredients) that a lot of brands of margarine have some sort of milk product in them…
My b/f is Lactose Intolerant, and it was making him sick.
Are there any brands with no milk ingredients?
Yea, I looked and a lot of olive oil ones still have “whey” in them, which has the lactose in it.

I’m lactose intolerant and I find it extremely hard to find spreads without dairy in them. However, if find that using olive spreads (even though they contain dairy) help with the digestion and don’t make me feel as ill as others do.
I don’t know where you live, but if you have Whole Foods groceries in your area, they often have many vegan options to common things like butter, cheese, meats. Since vegans don’t eat dairy, some of these products would be ideal for the lactose-intolerant individual. If you don’t have anything like a Whole Foods, try any health food store.
Below is a link to Whole Foods, some vegan margarine, and some lactose-free margarine.
I dont know about that but if you go to the store and grab some Lactaid it will fix him up in a hurry, I’m sort of lactose intolerant myself, I can eat some but if I have too much disgusting things happen.
have you looked at any type of olive oil base margarine’s?
