Why does almond butter have less calories when fresh ground?

I’ve noticed that the calories for the almond butter that you grind up fresh at the store is 200 calories per 1/4 cup whereas in the jar its 200 calories per 2 tablespoons..Thats half the calories (I measured: 4 T per 1/4 cup)
How is that possible? Does the jar brand use more oil or are they pullin’ my chain?
keep in mind I would buy the all natural brands when it was teh store bought but now i pretty much just buy teh fresh

Read the ingredients on the jar label. I bet there are other things in it besides almonds.

Fresh homemade peanut butter has different ingredients and a completely different taste than storebought jars of processed peanut butter. They add salt, oil, homogenizing agents to keep it from separating, etc… I’m sure the same can be true for almond butter as well.

usually oil i added which is very high in calories
