Why do they have to put so much sweetener in teas such as Snapple?
Those don’t taste like tea, they taste like what they are, SYRUP! Ewww, gross. There is so much sweetener in those “teas” you can’t even taste the tea. Ridiculous
epic_laydown I know it’s not sugar that they put in those drinks, it’s HFCS. That’s I why I used sweetener as the noun and not sugar.

because high fructose corn syrup is addictive. And because of the health problems it causes, obesity, and diabetes, it keeps the medical community rolling in the $$dough.
because sugar or high fructose corn syrup or whatever they call that garbage is cheap and it makes up for taste or lack of it.
because people in general like sweet things. I’m with you buddy, I think it’s ridiculous, but we are in the minority. Sweet snapple sells. Unsweetened snapple doesn’t sell as good. That’s my guess anyway.
Oh, and it’s not sugar they put in those drinks, it’s High Fructose corn syrup. There’s a difference.
