Why do the closed pistachio nuts always end up at the bottom of the pack?
This always happens to me… it is bitterly disapointing because i am eating more and more, thinking “Yes, still have plently left.” and then i realise….. the last 10 in the pack are all closed….
Any one else reccon it would be a much happier pistachio eating world out there if all the closed ones were at the top??
That way we get over the disapointment by eating all the open ones!!!

ive never eaten a pathasio nut b4 sorry
You know, you’re right! I too am disappointed with the closed nuts and when you try to bite them open with your teeth you almost break them…not cool pistachio producers of the world.
When you start eating a bag of pistachio nuts, you instinctively grab those that are opened for easy opening.
This leaves the closed nuts at the bottom at the end.
Also, the closed nuts are more streamlined, so they more easily make their way to the bottom due to gravity.
i suggest u buy 2 bags hehehe
that way when u think u got
some left n it turns out u DONT
u jus be like “oh well i got
a WHOLE other bag left” see
everything works out. yaaaay
Everyone keeps putting them back because they don’t want to waste them but they are too hard to open so they leave them for someone else….then when it’s all you have left it’s worth the effort!
dumb question just eat them!!!!
They should leave all the closed ones out
ha. That’s very interesting. How about when you have just one bite of cake left and it falls to the floor. OH MAN! Life is so disappointing!!
Ma they are gonna fall to the bottom anyway…Heres a suggestion y dont u pay someone to tooth crack em for you then spit it back in the bag
The closed ones seem to be a bit heavier because once they pop open I guess the processing causes them to be lighter. The shells that don’t open are usually thicker, thus accounting for the slightly heavier weight. I still crack them open with my teeth, but it’s not always easy to do that. Yes I would be happier to get all the closed ones out of the way, especially because I go for the saltier taste of the open ones. Happy eating…
Was I supposed to eat the whole thing, or what? I thought it was kind a crunchy!!! [only kidding]
you need some hobbies
Personally, I don’t eat the nuts ~ but I do like the Jello Pistachio pudding.
Pistachio nuts.
This must be an Itialian joke, so I am sure that NO ONE will be able to understand it.
The simple solution to this problem is to keep a small pair of pinch-nose pliers around for cracking open those un-opened pistachios. Trying to crack them open with your teeth is a good way to crack your teeth! Having a pair of pinch-nose pliers around (I keep a pair in the jar with the pens and pencils) can also be useful for many other household tasks.
