stretch marks unfortunately cannot be prevented, since they happen under the skin, not on top of it like the pregnancy lotions and creams say. If your mom and sisters and grandmothers got stretchmarks, chances are you will get them too. don’t worry about those stretchmarks if you do get them, they are battle wounds you fought for your beautiful baby!!! It never hurts to provide some extra nourishment for your skin though as some women get extra dry skin and itchy while pregnant, keep fluid levels up and hydrate with lotion.
By the way maderma is to reduce the visiability of a scar but it does not get rid of it, but it will not help stretchmarks.
Mederma is suppose to be really good for stretch marks. You can purchase it at CVS/Pharmacy, I see many expecting women purchasing it!
This site might help.
Mederma can help reduce the appearance of scars or stretch marks, but doesn’t prevent or eliminate them. It’s also on the pricey side. I think CVS has a generic version of it. Their products are all money back gauarnteed so if it doesn’t work, just keep your sales slip and you can return it for your money back, even if the tube is half used.
