Where can I buy tinned prunes in syrup in the US?
I’m in the US and looking for some tinned prunes in syrup. My husband’s looked in several shops and can’t seem to find any; does anyone know where I could get some for sure?
Thanks for the replies. Are the ones in the jar the same as tinned fruit basically?
I’m really after the thick syrup, so soaking in water doesn’t sound very appealing, lol! Something to consider though, thank you.

I have never seen those for sale before. I have seen them in a jar once, this website sells them [the manufacturer]
I am in Australia, so I cannot advise you where to find them. If you are unable to find prunes in syrup, you can soak in water in the fridge overnight. They are as good as any canned prunes you will find.
Hope this helps,
Sharon
They are normally packed moist in bags that I have seen, never in tins.
Gah! I feel your frustration I LOVE tinned prunes and can’t find them anywhere. I can eat tins of them all at once.
The juice, the plump pruines, they are so good.
I’ve foind this place, but it’s buy online…at least cheaper than import.
and here
you might need to look for dried plums, as they aren’t very popular here in USA
…(later)…wow, been looking for an hour and found NOTHING ELSE!!!
Well, all I can say is, welcome to America.
The search for good bread is still going on.
On the other hand, if you just buy some good quality prunes and pour purified water over them, and seal in a tupperware or some other clean container, within two days you have amazingly syrupy liquid and real prunes just like canned.
They are something else again if you soak some of them not in water but in plain yoghurt, and wat two days….
