when is it safe to start feeding baby raw peanuts?
I heard it was safe to feed a baby raw ( non roasted) or boiled peanuts starting at a year old, but I am concerned about an allergic reaction.

I’d wait till the child had enough teeth to chew them up.
they choke easily on them also i would wait…..they also told my sister not to give her baby eggs..we grew up giving babies pouched eggs crumbled w ritz crackers.
There are variety of things the baby can be eating so dont rush things.
If your baby and the family has any history of allergies then you need to be careful in feeding peanuts or any of the top 8 allergens.
My four year old has allergies to dairy, peanuts and tree nuts. We found out that he was allergic to dairy when he was couple months old. Once we found one allergy we decided not to give him the other top allergens like peanuts or tree nuts. The doctor was even concerned about doing a skin test on him fearing that he might have a reaction to the test. We finally got a test done when he turned four and were glad that we didn’t give him any kind of nuts before the test.
If the baby has no allergies then you can introduce him to bits of boiled (soft) peanuts. If he has any kind of allergies then I would recommend not to introduce peanuts without allergy tests.
i agree with amiboo. but, what i suggest is you take your child to an allergist. they can detect your child’s allergies before something like an allergic reaction or blocked airways happens. it sounds brutal but very common in today’;s society
The author of super baby foods suggest waiting until they are 3 and then talking to your ped.
