all brown sugars have molasses in them lite brown has less making it less sweet

Dark brown and Light brown sugar have mollasses in the sugar, white sugar is plain sugar. That is why it sticks together more than white.

Depends on how much molasses is mixed in with it. More molasses the darker it will be….mmm brown sugar lol!

Was wondering how one spells molasses lol! Dad was a cook he taught us all sorts of “stuff” lol! Just not how to spell….

Brown sugar has molasses in it.

dark brown sugar is not refined sugar, which has some impurities in it.
light brown sugar is not completely refined, but most of the impurities has been removed from it.
white sugar is well refined and bleached sugar . it contains no impurity.

hi there; the difference is: the amount of molasses that is used to make brown sugar..White sugar is just processed cane sugar..Some of the sugar cane comes from Hawaii..there are also other places that sugar cane comes from and is sent to a factory’s to be process into sugar..i hope that this has answered your question..
