What pepper is not lesser hot than jalapeno or cayenne?

Im looking for pepper I can eat raw but jalapenos and cayenne burns my tongue too much to a point I have to start drinking gallons of water. Any pepper than just hot enough but not enough to burn my tongue and that is sold at local groceries ?

Banana peppers.

the only thing more mild than a jalapeno is a bell pepper. and they arent even spicy. you are a p**sy

I agree with “DavidR”.
I love banana peppers.

Banana Pepper!

yes banana peppers

Have you tried banana peppers (I don’t know the official name) like the ones they put on the salads at Olive Garden? I LOVE those peppers. Sometimes they’re a little hot, but not really. Are they called pepperoncini? Something like that. Those are GOOD.

pablano peppers (the peppers used for Chile rellenos)and banana peppers (those yellow ones that come with sandwiches often pickled.)
If you’re going for the taste of Jalapeno peppers without the heat you can use green pepper for the same taste.

Banana and tiny jalapeno

TUSCAN are hot but not killers, You can get them in jars and they are called Pepperocini. Banana peppers or finger peppers can be found in jars and can rang from hot to sweet. Cherry peppers are a favorite of mine. They can range from mild to uh-oh! The best are in large jars. Pastene, and other brands. Look for peppers that look tasty in the jar. Good color, firmness, No rot. A good cherry pepper can be hollowed out and stuffed with mozzarella and Prociutto

lol there are 264 peppers that are milder than a Jalapeno. Try a Anaheim Chili – This pepper has the least “heat”. But it has a good flavor. The large, six to eight inch fruit turns from dark green to a brilliant red when ripe. This pepper is popular for drying.

first i want to say adding water doesnt help you from burning it actually spreads the burn through your mouth.. i would know I LOVE SPICY FOOD.. heh try milk i heard it works (i cant drink milk) but if im really burning i rise my tongue with hot water. helps alot! it burns for that second but really calms it down. as for a pepper that spicy but not too spicy i would say jalapenos.. you probably just gotta eat less because the other peppers like thai peppers or ghost peppers are way hotter then jalapenos and bell peppers just arent hot at all.

Some kinds of banana peppers are very mild. Bell peppers are sweet. There is a type of jalapeno named “Tam” that gives you taste without the burn. I grew them one year. Pepperocini are good, but if you really like the flavor of jalapenos, water is the worst thing to use to cool you down. Some people use milk and most people use bread to lower the heat. Water just makes it worse.

bell peppers don’t have any spice

Just remember with spicy foods milk is the only way to kill the heat. Also it’s not really the peppers that are hot it’s their seeds. If you cut a pepper and scrape the seeds there is no heat. A green pepper will taste almost the same as a jalapeno skin.

Also you can buy Jalapenos and let them sit till they turn red. Almost all green peppers will eventually turn red before they go bad. Jalapenos become almost sweet when they turn red. It’s that same red pepper that when roasted becomes a chipotle pepper.

Hope that helped a little
