What kind of tree is it?

Ok I have no photo so I hope a description will be enough to go by. I must not be using the correct terminology in my searches because I’ve searched for hours to no avail. I live in central FL. In my backyard are four really tall trees (two of them twice as high as my single-story house). All of them look a lot like pecan trees at first glance…the leaf arrangements and all. Except the leaves on these trees are saw-toothed instead of smooth. They all have huge bunches of small nuts on their branches. At first glance it looks like large bunches of green grapes hanging in the trees. I brought some in and peeled the green husk off one of the nuts and it was light colored…about the size of a pistachio…maybe a bit smaller. (It’s not a pistachio tree). I cracked it open and the inside resembled a miniature pecan. All the photos I’ve seen of pecan trees show them as having 2-4 large nuts growing together and these nuts have many more than that (think big bunches of green grapes). Also each nut is hanging from an individual stem….not touching like pecans do. Any ideas??
Thank you for posting pics. Unfortunately it isn’t a macadamia. The nuts on my trees are much smaller and the leaves don’t look like those at all. Also, the nuts might get bigger but I don’t know yet because it’s my first fall/winter here in this house and my first time seeing these things. :)

Could be a macademia nut. I have included a picture to see if this is what you may have. Hope this helps.

Look for something in the Carya family, e.g., Hickory or Butternut

it sounds like it could be

a strawberry tree

or a

scented olive tree.

hope im right

good luck
