What kind of oil can be used to replace peanut oil?

I am allergic to peanuts. I found a recipe that calls for peanut oil. What can I exchange peanut oil for olive?
The recipe is for a salad dressing

Definitely not live oil. Try vegetable or sunflower oil, don’t know if you are allergic to all kinds of nuts or just peanuts though. Sunflower oil is preferable.

safflower oil is great for cooking! Olive oil, also.

Almost any vegetable oil will work, whether it’s an ingredient in a recipe (like yours) or for frying. Corn oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, etc. all have fairly neutral flavors, and high smoking points (they can get very hot without falling apart, chemically). They’re all also about the same price at the supermarket.

I would NOT recommend olive oil, though, in this case. It has a pretty strong flavor of its own, and it could overpower other flavors in your recipe.

try sesame oil

vegetable or canola

Hmm vote for me vote for me :) :):):)
I would try a sunflower oil, but it seems like veggie oil works too.

If your using it as for dressing i would use olive oil.It has a somewhat fruity taste and has the least bad cholesterol and most good cholesterol.Canola has a pretty neutral taste and is second best in terms of good and bad cholesterol.Hope this helps

If your only allergy is to peanuts, then I would say any other kind of oil should do. I would disregard the comment below that says not to use olive oil. Olive oil (providing you can eat it) is VERY commonly used in salad dressings! In fact, you can now get “light” olive oil that has a milder taste. Sesame oil as used for Chinese cuisine would probably be overpowering. And if in doubt, default to vegetable oil.
