What kind of milk is closest to the quality of dairy milk?
I’ve been a vegetarian for 8 months and I want to start eliminating milk from my diet as well. I’m not going to be strict about it and avoid every food that uses dairy milk, but I want to avoid drinking it as much as possible. I’ve recently tried rice milk and it tasted okay, but it was thinner than dairy milk. What kind of milk would you say is closest to the quality of dairy milk? Thanks for the help =)

Almond milk.
Almond milk still has a very rich texture.
Try Silk soymilk, it’s good! It’s in the refrigerated section.
I would probably say soy milk or almond milk. I use Silk’s soymilk. =)
There is a lot of variation in how good the different brands of the different milks are. I like hemp milk about best and some of the soy milks are really good and some are awful. I know rice milk is just too thin and the milk from almond is supposed to be good but I am allergic so can’t try that.
The only milk that gets near the “quality” of dairy milk is the milk that pours out of my a** after 10 beers and a curry.
I use 2% Hiland just for your information(:
i figured you wanted to know.
I prefer almond milk over soy or rice milk
I wouldn’t use the word “quality”. I think “taste” is what you are after.
I would try almond milk, it doesn’t taste exactly the same, but it is creamy and milky and yum!
I like vanilla rice milk. I don’t do processed products anymore, but it got me through the period after I found out I was allergic to milk.
Milk is unique in its composition so that you are less likely to find a suitable alternative to milk. Of course, there are other vegan drinks that replaces the milk in its energy value but milk is second to none in its flavor, nutrients availability and characteristic taste.
