My sons would tell you it’s because they look good. Me, I have no idea….I guess it could be an aesthetic thing.

they do add flavor..

I would guess to either add texture, or to make it look more appetizing.

Sesmae Seeds are often used in cooking for there rich, nutty flavour, although such heating can damage their nutritional value.

Sesame Seeds are extremely healthy for you, like most types of nuts are.

The seeds are rich in manganese, copper, and calcium, also containing Vitamin B1 and Vitamin E. They contain lignans, including unique content of sesamin, which are phytoestrogens with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. Among edible oils from six plants, sesame oil has the highest antioxidant content. Sesame seeds also contain phytosterols associated with reduced levels of blood cholesterol, but do not contain caffeine. The nutrients of sesame seeds are better absorbed if they are ground or pulverized before consumption.

GOOD QUESTION!!!

I’ve always enjoyed the nice nutty snack, nibbling on the seeds that fell off the bun and landed on my plate, table, shirt, or whatever, after I finished my burger…I think they do add a tiny bit of flavor but not enough to be noticed among all the other flavors in a burger.

Maybe it’s a witch thing??? Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Wicca in the Kitchen suggests their use to aid conception, to draw money, or for protection.

Interesting fact, About one-third of the sesame crop imported by the United States from Mexico is purchased by McDonald’s for their sesame seed buns.

I think it’s for looks, kind of like Bedazzling your burger.

I like the taste of them and buy them for their flavor

they are yummy!!

1. its more appetizing
2. for decoration
3. for taste
4. its more appealing

I’m pretty sure they do add flavor…
