What is the best form to consume flax seeds?



I want to gain the maximuim health benefits from Flax Seeds.

Should I buy the seeds and grind them myself?

Is it ok if I add them to a fruit smoothie?

You can add them to anything you want; a fruit smoothing would be fine. I like flax seeds in granola and cereal, personally. You can also bake flax into muffins or sprinkle some on your toast, cereal, yogurt, anything you’d like.

Buying them is more convenient but if you want to grind them yourself, go for it.

there is also flax pills and oil you can take. i use the oil, you can put it on anything cold, and it has no taste. do NOT heat, because it can give off bad free radicals.

you can add them to anything you want – oatmeal, smoothie, protein shake, salad etc. the best is to use ground flax seeds – buy or do it yourself – its up to you (but keep them in fridge because they go bad fast)

I used to eat flax seeds. I found that they are best aten when they are FRESHLY GROUND, because the pre crushed or liquid versions lack maximum nutritional value. You can add them to anything you want. A fruit smoothie is a good idea though. I always put mine in my protien/oat drinks.

But, After I choked down a ton of flax seeds I found out that taking a salmon oil pill everyday has the same health benefits as eating flax seeds. So now I use salmon oil instead. It is the way to go man. Once you try it you will thank me big time.
