What do you think about the taste of coconut oil?
I have been cooking with 100% extra virgin coconut oil for about 8 months and let me tell, it is so delicious and the most healthy oil to cook with. Not only that, it will not go rancid or burn up like other oils. I used coconut oil to scramble my eggs, cook hash browns or just 1 tablespoon & eat it raw.
‘Sugar Pie’ this oil is very healthy for in its organic state. Please go to Dr. Joseph Mercola’s website and read up on the benefits of taking 100% extra virgin coconut oil. The website is at www.mercola.com.

Nice! I’m gonna try it one of these days!!!
Doesn’t sound good to me, but I’m not a big fan of coconut.
How do you justify your claim of “healthy?” The reason it wont’ go rancid is because it is VERY highly saturated, which leads to an increase in fatty plaque buildup in arteries and coronary artery disease. I think it’s best used for popcorn popping at movie theaters, to be eaten only every now and again,.
It is really good stuff, and it’s not as bad for you as people think! Enjoy!
I really like it. I actually do “oil pulling” with this. I haven’t tried cooking with it, but I’m thinking I will soon.
It’s a matter of personal taste, many people like it. Personally, though, I don’t like its taste; nor its calorific value. This view is purely personal and it is not meant to label other views, thoughts and tastes.
Safflower or sunflower oil is my favorite. I normally just use the ‘generic’ House of Tsang wok oil or safflower oil, and just smelling it will give me a fuller feeling.
But it does sound like you have a good knowledge of oils and how to use them. Just don’t eat too much of one thing or you won’t get enough olive oil, another awesome oil. And eat a piece of bacon or two when you feel sick. Those bad fats are there for a reason too, just in verrrry small amounts, when you need the easy instant energy.
I love it. Its delish. When it comes to coconut, I’m like a cat with catnip. Absolutely love coconut milk too.
No offense but i hate it. i really do.
