What dairy products should I avoid as a vegetarian?

Ok I am a vegetarian but I eat dairy products, which ones should I avoid that use digestive enzymes from the cow?

Cheese. Most cheese contains rennet which is not vegetarian.

just read the packets – they will say if they are vegetarian or not. There is 9 times out of 10 a vegetarian alternative for everything so just look around.

First, let’s clarify something. Technically, if you were to avoid animal products for good, this would be classified as a vegan. However, if you eat eggs and milk, this is called lacto-ovo vegetarian.

All milk has digestive enzymes, including most types of cheese. If you choose not to drink milk, I think that almond milk has the best taste. Rice milk comes in a close second with soy coming in last. Choose what you like best and good luck to you!

you need to check ALL your cheeses especially the harder ones. also cream has gelatine and so does some ice creams. most thick and creamy things you need to look at the ingredients because they may contain gelatine. but rennet is usually only found in cheeses so just keep an eye out when you are buying them and make sure to check all you dairy packaging.
:)

it will say on the info i drink milk from a local farmer that is free range cows no shots farmland dairy it comes in glass here is a list of ok vegan food you would not know was ok to eat from meals to snacks its from peta so its real deal

There are no rules, really, and I love cheese, even though I know it is made with rennet…and for the most part I cut way back on meat…… Few of us have ever gone our whole lives without meat…, nor will we in future.
