what can i make with these ingredients?

is there some kind of dessert, not a cake, that you could suggest a recipe for me? i feel like baking, but i’m not sure if i feel like baking something from my recipe box. i have these ingredients:

hershey’s baking cocoa
flour
sugar
vegetable oil
crisco shortening
baking soda
baking powder
water
milk
vanilla
cinnamon
eggs
active dry yeast
bread flour
salt
corn meal
food coloring

obviously, you don’t ever need ALL of these ingredients in a recipe, but i thought i’d write down everything i have

thanks!

that wonderful 30 minute chocolate cake with the pourable icing. leave off the last 5 ingredients and you have it. the recipe is on the web under so many names. It is the one that you put water on to boil, add crisco, and cocoa. cool it and pour over the dry ingredients.

I would make a cinnamon swirl loaf. Make a batch of bread, roll it up with cinnamon sugar and bake.

Also, you could make brownies with a hint of cinnamon. Or you can use the sugar and vanilla and milk to make a caramel sauce to pour over brownies.

Lastly you could make some good old fashioned southern cornbread with the cornmeal, the leaveners and the milk. Heat a little of the oil in a cast iron skillet while the oven preheats then pour the batter in and bake for about 25 minutes at 425.

How about home made brownie mix? You have all the ingredients, and you can make many variations with it.

INGREDIENTS
8 cups sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups baking cocoa
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons salt
2 cups shortening

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 6 months.
BROWNIE SNACK CAKE

2 cups Brownie Mix

3 eggs, separated

3 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, egg yolks, milk and vanilla; mix well. In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into the batter. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 9 servings.

FUDGE SAUCE

Prep/Total Time: 10 min.

1 cup Brownie Mix

2/3 cup water

Ice cream

Maraschino cherries, optional

In a saucepan, bring the brownie mix and water to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Serve over ice cream. Garnish with cherries if desired. Yield: about 1 cup.

im not sure if your a fan of the lord of the rings series..but you have all the ingredients (minus butter) to make lembas bread!

ive made it a couple times and its reeeeally good! and yummy!

i use the second recipe on the page!

You could make a cinnamon yeast bread, then make a vanilla drizzle for it.

Or you could make cupcakes with a homemade chocolate frosting….

Or you could make corn bread

pancakes, crepes

go to….you can do a recipe search by listing an ingredient or by type of food, like “cinnamon bread” or just “bread”

you can try a spicy bread (vanilla and cinnamon and the bread stuff)
or chocolate cookies
chocolate cake (vanilla and chocolate)
vanilla flavoured marshmallow
vanilla milk shake

my God, almost all at once even! hehe
Bon apetit!

how about brownies

Cookies, bread, fudge (well, get some marshmallow fluff & you’re in business there), brownies (mine with nuts please), cinnamon coated chocolate ‘balls’, regular buscuits, corn bread, strange colored cornbread (food coloring)…

But my vote is cookies. Cocoa cookies LIGHTLY sprinkled with cinnamonsugar – mmmmm and a glass of milk to go with them………..Pass the cookies please. It’s a beautiful day :)
