What are the benefits of lowering your sugar intake in your daily diet?
I’ve been cutting out on sugar here recently. Not that anything is wrong, just trying to keep my sugar blood level low. I’ve had diabetics in the family, so for health reasons I am sugar conscious of what I eat. Anyway, can lowering your sugar level improve your overall health, and sports performance too?

Yes it can. Too much sugar can cause you to have a burst of energy, but then within the hour you crash and feel tired and sluggish. Also Diabetes can develop when you eat too much of it. To get the most out sports and overall health, stick to complex carbs, like things made out of whole grains. They will give you lots of energy over a longer period of time, and keep your blood sugar level.
