What about drinking milk makes you lose weight?
I’m pretty sure we’ve all seen the adds on TV that tells us that drinking 24 ounces of milk a day and exercising will help us lose weight. Does anyone know what about milk helps us lose weight? I like to know how things work, and why they do what they do, without just following the new fad.

It’s a good source of protein. Protein increases your metabolism and allows you to burn more calories.
ya if you drink only milk and not eat anything else . exercise could help
Sad to say that was hype by the milk companies to gain sales of their product. BUYER BEWARE! The study showed people drank milk, but that was not the deciding factor in loosing the weight. In fact, if you drink a lot of high fat milk, you gain weight. Best to have low fat, not much and get calcium from other things. Many people have milk allergies.
Milk is fattening…….
eat nonfat yogurt and drink nonfat milk that will help alot better.also calcium is a fat burner that helps your body burn it off easier.
Milk will actually slow your motabolism due to the high quantity of fat which is why many people drink it prior to bedtime, it slows them down and helps them get sleep.
When milk digests it forms a layer of mucus throughout your body giving you a slightly bloated look and the added fat is not desirable.
I suspect the adds were a bit misleading at best. In the works of Arnold Schwartznager, “Milk is for baby cows not for adult humans”.
