If you have shortening then you are in luck.
Thick Vanilla Frosting
1 cup shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
4 tablespoons milk
Beat together shortening and vanilla for 30 seconds medium speed with an electric mixer. Add 2 cups of powdered sugar a bit at a time while beating. Then add 2 tablespoons milk. Slowly add in the rest of the powdered sugar and the rest of the milk until you get the right thickness for your frosting.
No butter huh? M’kay try this my mom hates butter, so try in substitute, some peanut butter, banana, or maybe a little bit of unfrozen ice cream should do the trick. I know it sounds weird, but it’s good
~Things You’ll Need:
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup of a chopped banana, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, or 2 cups of unfrozen ice cream (ice cream should be kinda liquidy)
1) Make a sauce with the milk and flour.
Good Luck!
2) Boil for a few minutes and let cool completely.
3) Cream the Peanut butter, banana, or unfrozen ice cream, and then add sugar.
4) Combine the sauce and beat at high speed using a mixer for 5 minutes.
Should turn out yummy
I tried the recipe from the last person who posted the comment – the one who had the recipe from their mom…it turned out really good! I tried it with peanut butter. Thanks!
