this is a genetics question?
the seeds from a maize plant were sown and 452 green and 148 white (non-photosynthetic) seedlings emerged.
How do you account for this? What progeny would you expect in the next two generations?

One comment a "this is a genetics question?"
About 3/4 were green, the parents had Gg/Gg as genes probably. A large G in any of the progeny would result in being green. There are 4 options:
G/g G/g G/G g/g
Only when the gg were paired would a plant be white.
