thanksgiving veggie side dishes?

What are you going to do for your veggie side dishes? I use to love sticking with the tradition, last year i made: soup as an appetizer. corn, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn bread, pumpkin bread, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and of course pumpkin pie. very conventional. But this year im thinking maybe I can add flair, maybe ginger sweet potatoes, creole rice, and collard green cooked with turkey, to make ti a little interesting. Is that a good idea or should I play it safe and stick to another kodak thanksgiving?
btw, what kind of soup should i serve as an appetizer? or not, should i try another appetizer? or a salad?

Jelled Cranberries sliced with cream cheese and pecan middle topped with another slice of jelled cranberries.

Corn Pudding. Jiffy corn bread mix, sour cream and creamed corn. Always a hit. I add fried corn to mine to give it extra flavor.

Green beans (fresh) bunched together 4 at a time tied with steamed green onion stem. Dipped in buttermilk and then seasoned flour and fried. Green bean bundles are always good and look so pretty on the plate!

What about roasted potato’s with carrots
scallop potato’s
collard greens with turkey is good
potato salad
