Tall rugged plant/weed – a long whitish red root like a carrot, green berries that turn blue ?
Found this plant growing in a lima bean row overtaking the lima beans. Is it just a rugged weed? Some of them are growing 6′ or taller and beans are changing color from green, the plant color, to dark blue. It also has little white buds for flowers.

A beautiful weed.
Sounds like Poke Weed? As in Poke Salad? The birds leave droppings and scatter the plants everywhere.THe berries are purple or dark blue..the stems are red and green.
sounds like poke weed. ( you know song poke salad annie) I’ve heard that it is poisonous unless parboiled.
Phytolacca Americana, or Polk weed , as it is commonly known, is a poisonous nightshade that can be eaten if boiled long enough. Berries can be used for dye.
When you weed, make sure you get the entire root.

Be careful re poison.. Could be harmless but check if out first.
Clip a leave and take it to a nursery ( nearby ) and see what it is..
