Stage 2 foods? Could you help me?
My daughter is a bit over 7.5 months old and has been on stage 1 food and cereal ( both beechnut ) for a couple of weeks now. Anyway I see that when you move to stage 2 they have a million more flavors, all mixed etc etc… My QUESTION is…they have stage 2 foods like strawberry banana which sounds good but I thought baby’s couldn’t have strawberry till a year? I’m just confused..My dd was slow to start foods but I thought a lot of babies have stage 2 at her age…should I be careful what I give her, like the strawberry? She hasn’t had any reactions to anything else and no history of food allergy in my family or her fathers. Thankyou ( o ;

She should be fine. Most babies are at stage 2 by now and if they shouldn’t have something they wouldn’t make it for that stage. I think all is good and have fun with those new flavors…..yuck!
my son ate the strawberry and nanas at 7 months as well. hes 10 months and eats stage3 i see nothing wrong with strawberry
. only thing i was told was no whole milk to age 1 so i guess go for nething
well its up to you really if you want to try but i gave my son strawberry puree and he came up in rashes all over his face so i guess he allergic to them, but you will never know unless you try. x
you would only want to hold off on the strawberries if you have a family history of an allergy. otherwise its perfectly fine to give her. just make sure no nuts, honey, or cow milk!!!
I started stage 2 at 7 1/2 months as well.
So, When my baby Sami was 4 month I started with a soup that I made in my own home, I put chicken breast, green bananas, sweet potatoes, Malanga, salt and a small pieces of garlic and Onion, fresh, after cook put in the blender until become a pure, she enjoyed a lot, my baby is healthy and she is is 11 month she walk and has 6 teeth so also she tried the Gerber food, at that time she got 2 staged, so this is my advices for you, give your baby delicious thing as stage 2 and yogurt that is so good for baby too.
The only differnt with the stages is they combine a lot of stuff in stage 2. If your has been through all the veggies and fruits she will be ok. I dont think I would give the strawberries though. You just have to be smart and pick and choose.
