Should I use nut oils in my hair if I am allergic to nuts?
I’m African American and I have dry, relaxed hair. So I constantly use oil in my hair. But I have always had issues with my hair breaking off and shedding badly. I am allergic to tree nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc) and I noticed that a lot of the products I use have a tree nut oil (usually sweet almond oil) in them. Even though I have never broken out or gotten sick because I used them, could they be the reason as to why my hair breaks off?

don,t risk it .if some of the nut content is absorb into the skin you will be in deep trouble.go to your chemist and ask for a nut free shampoo.*
If you are truly allergic to nuts, why would you ever consider using any product containing nut oils? I doubt that the nutty characteristics of your hair products are responsible for brittle hair. If I use a product that has an adverse impact on me, I stop using it and try something else. I suggest you do the same.
My son is allergic to peanut even if it just touches him. I wouldn’t risk using the product unless you are specifically NOT allergic to the type of nut used.
