Should I add olive oil to noodles before putting them in the fridge overnight?
I want to put some left-over pasta in the fridge to use some other time. I don’t want the noodles to stick together. Should I mix in some olive oil? Will that keep the pasta from being stuck together when I remove them from the fridge in about 22 hours? Is this a good method?

If you don’t add some kind of fat (oil, butter, mayonnaise, tahini, whatever), the noodles are pretty much guaranteed to stick.
Depending on what you will use them for, you can select a fat that blends. For many uses, oil would be fine, although olive oil has more flavor than other oils. (It’s also healthier, so take that into account.)
The olive oil will definitely help; but be warned, leftover noodles aren’t nearly as good as fresh ones.
yes, it will keep the pasta moist and keep the strands from sticking together
Any kind of oil will do the trick.
You can use olive (or another) oil, but know that any sauce you might put over them later won’t “stick” to the noodles as well. I usually just put them in the fridge and then rinse them in cold water to un-stick them.
i would recommend adding the olive oil when you are ready to reheat the noodles. That will unstick them and prevent them from drying out when you reheat them.
Put them through cold running water to wash off the excess starch , that is what makes them stick together.. Pour in some oil, give it a good toss.
Please note that if you are using the pasta immediately do not wash them cos the starch helps hold the sauce to it.
Just rinse them w/ cold water after draining… a squirt or 2 of nonstick cooking spray is easier and won’t make them nearly as greasy as EVOO
you bet, and cover them too!
I store leftover pasta in a zip lock bag and then just rinse them under hot water when I want to eat them. No sticking that way.
Yeah but just a little….dont need too much!
yes i would use the olive oil but be sure to coat each piece with ample amount of the oil. and store in air tight container. when you get ready to use them open ur bowl and run some hot tap water in and let it sit for a few min. then drain off. pull the pasta apart.
