Raw Milk for a 1 year old?
My son has had dairy problems for awhile now. We went from whole milk to soy to goat to rice and the only one that worked was rice milk. We would prefer something with a little more fat since he has always been a very under weight. Someone said to try Raw Cow’s Milk. I have research online but I want to know if anyone uses raw milk and why? Ages of persons? Ever been sick while drinking it? And anything else that may be useful?
Please… no stupid comments I am looking for only people who drink raw milk and I don’t care about hearing comments or remarks from other people.

If your child is allergic to cows milk, it won’t matter if the milk is raw or pasturized — he’s still allergic.
I would try raw goat’s milk first….like someone else said, if he is allergic to the cow’s milk he likely will be to the raw milk as well. If he isn’t allergic, but just has a hard time digesting the cows milk, THEN raw cow’s milk will be better, as it still has all the enzymes intact to help aid with digestion.
We have used raw goats milk, and given it to my son, starting at 1 yr old. Not raw cow’s milk though….because I don’t have a source I trust for it. You have to make sure that the animals are well cared for, have a good diet, kept in a clean area, and that the milk is handled carefully to prevent contamination.
Also, as kids, my brother & I only ever had raw goat’s milk….my brother was allergic to cows milk too, and we lived on a farm, and always had goats. Never pasteurized the milk.
We also use Almond milk & hemp milk for our toddler (now 2.5, been drinking both since 1…..almond starting about 15 mos, and hemp around 20 mos). Both are good sources of healthy fats; hemp milk especially is loaded with essential omegas
