Protein meal replacement that’s gluten/dairy/soy/MSG free?
I’m on a temporary diet that requires me to eat only fruits, vegetables, and meal replacement protein. I can’t have gluten (wheat), meat, fish, dairy, soy, grains, legumes. I really need some kind of protein for some energy. But when I drink meal replacements from pharmacy, they have too many chemicals and that immediately makes me feel terrible. Where can I find a source of protein like Hydrolyzed Lactalbumin that does not have all the nasties including soy and MSG? It seems near impossible, everything in the store has a million chemicals listed in it and I’m not sure which one I’m reacting to.

This doesn’t sound like a very healthy diet. For a start, you’re missing out on all the nutrients you would normally get from fats in the diet (as many are not water-soluble, but fat-soluble).
Are you following this diet for health reasons? What is the health difficulty you are trying to treat?
If you are doing this to lose weight, you are not likely to have much success on such a regime. For a start, your calorie intake is likely to be much too low to sustain a reasonable metabolic rate, meaning that your body will not allow you to lose weight, as it “thinks” you are starving.
To lose weight, you need to eat a good balanced diet which contains protein, fat and carbs in reasonable proportions, and do 45 minutes of heartbeat raising every 72 hours to raise your metabolic rate to the highest level, so that you start to lose weight. Don’t be tempted to drop your calorie intake below about 1250 calories a day, as this will only result in yoyo dieting, because as soon as you start to eat normally again, you will put all the weight and water you have lost back on again.
Eggs are a good protein source, and you haven’t listed it as a nono. Though you shouldn’t eat eggs every day.
if you are avoiding dairy for the lactose, onesource optimal nutrition is the best option for you.
