Please read my poetry?

These are just some silly poems, don’t answer purely because you want ten points, I’d like to think that some people on this site answer poetry questions because they genuinely like poetry.

Ocelot

Elegant coat of gold and black,
She certainly is a regal cat,
Dipping her paws in and out
Of the trickle from the water spout.

Dedicated to Aeron Phillips.

Nuts to Brazil

Balanced upon a single finger,
I marvel at its curvature.
Such a sight will later linger,
Along with eloquent literature.

Life-a-cated to Munroe Box-Cameron. A small poem almost as silly as he is. (He insisted that it be “life-a-cated” as he refused to die…)
Thank you, Whiskyblanket, fair comments, as always.

There is no such poem as a silly poem. e.e.cummings wrote short poems and became famous for them. You might just become famous for your short poems. They have a quality that stays with the reader. Keep it up.

Its so silly i love it,i insist you write one for me too, this one made me happy

Love it. Very simple, short, and lighthearted, but still elegant. You know, I usually don’t have much of an attention span for poetry about nature because it’s rare to see any new ideas expressed, but I don’t think I’ve ever read a poem about an Ocelot before.

I’ve got nothing to say about technical things or form or meter or anything, and obviously nothing bad to say about content… so well done! :-)
