Pistachio in cake and other sweets?

WHat does pistachio cake taste like? I really like pistachios, but I’ve never had any pistachio sweets, like cake pudding or ice cream. Do they taste a lot like the nut itself, or is it more settle? What’s it like compared to more normal nut sweets, such as almond or walnut?

I am looking for any ideas on a cake that would compliment a pistachio frosting?

I have had pistachio pudding and cake. Niether one, in my opinion, have a strong pistachio taste. This does not mean they don’t taste good. Both are very sweet and have a mint green color when the cake or pudding have finished cooking or settling. I have never had the ice cream. I suggest getting the pudding and trying it for yourself. At least you won’t have to spend a great deal of time or money to derive your own opinion.. Hope this helps.

I love pistachio cake!! The one my grandma makes only contains the pistachio pudding, so it doesnt taste like the nut very much.
