Need the name of a moroccan lentil soup?

last night i had amazing moroccan food for my birthday dinner. i really loved the lentil soup at the beginning of the meal… but with the owner’s thick accent and the 3 bottles of wine we polished off, i can’t seem to recall then name. i remember my mother saying it sounded a bit like “hurry up” when he said it… anyone know?
