my parakeet was bleeding before?
Earlier in the afternoon, my parakeets were fighting over millet. A few minutes later, i look at my green parakeet and there was blood on his nostrils. She wasnt bleeding like crazy, it was just a stain of blood. It’s dry now but there are seeds stuck to it. She’s acting perfectly normal but will she be ok? She looks funny with the seeds stuck on her nose.

She’s probably okay. My friend’s parakeet has a little blood stain beneath his beak. Will your parakeet let you touch its nose to remove the blood?
Well it’s best to go check with the vet because you don’t know what happened. Probably the other parakeets were being aggressive over the seeds and pecked your parakeet. Another possibility is that she pecked another parakeet and she has the stain of another parakeet. Bring all your parakeets to the vet to make sure.
Just let it be as it has clotted which is a good thing. The seeds will fall off. If it starts to bleed again apply a very small amount of cornstarch or flour to wound without letting her breathe it into her nares. That will stop the bleeding. Keep eye on her. If keeps bleeding or looks infected to avian vet you go. :0
This is a sign that you may want to consider separating them.
My cockatiel flew into a window and started doing the same thing and it dried up and when he drank some water everything was all good, so I would say she’s fine.
