Move help! Does anyone remember a children’s movie with a silly Native American ghost and a little girl?
I remember this really cheesy movie when I was a kid. Something about a little girl who meets the ghost of a young Indian medicine man who turns into a crow. I cannot remember the title. One of the characters was named Isadora… THere was a movie crew filming on sacred indian grounds. The girl was having trouble with her dad and evil woman. There was something about treasure. There was an old ghost of a Native woman who made braids of lemon grass. Maybe the crow guy’s name was something like Laughing Crow? Help!

Waking Up Horton (1998)
aka The Adventures of Young Brave
starring Raoul Trujillo, Barbara Pilavin, Ashley Peldon, Dirk Benedict, Barbara Carrera as Isadora, Tom Hallick
Amazon.com review:
In the search for a fortune in buried gold, two children go on the trail to solve the mystery. They receive help from an unexpected visitor from the past, the mischievous spirit of Horton Laughing Feather. Horton comes back to life to wreak havoc and mayhem, but only young Amelia and her friends can see him. After discovering the treasure, Amelia finds out that Horton wants to join the spirit world but needs one last brave deed to join his relatives.
As a Raoul Trujillo fan, I didn’t have too much trouble tracking it down. I knew that I would recognize the title when I saw it! Various release dates are given, but maybe that’s due to the varying titles.
