milk question?

Okay, to begin with, I generally don’t drink milk. I think I mihgt have 6 small cups a year. I am also on atkins, which mean no milk ever. I only drank milk if I had cake or cookies or something, especially to dunk my cookies. What would be a decent substitute that is not cows milk for me to have. I have heard about soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, etc. But I want to know from someone who has tasted it if it is decent. Please remember I also need something low in carbs. Thanks in advance.
Please also explain in terms of taste. I didn’t drink cows milk mainly b/c I didnt like the mucous feel, if that makes any sense.

Soy milk is very good plus it is a lot healthier for you

Soy milk is a good alternative for dairy milk.

Calcium fortified soy milk contains about the same amount of calcium as dairy milk but unfortunately the high content of phytic acid and phytates in soy milk hinders the absorption of zinc and up to half your zinc intake may be lost so you need a zinc supplement every day.

Soy milk is the best I’ve tried. The taste is different, but acceptable.
I am also on Atkins also. I almost never drink milk. Rarely I have it on cereal if I’m visiting someone and that’s all they offer for breakfast.
