Milk runs about $5.00 a gallon here in my part of Virginia.
1/2 % $3.59, hole $3.69 St. Louis Mo
I live in Florida and milk is about $4.25 a gallon at Publix, though you can get it on sale for around $3.50-$3.89.
it ranges between 3.29 and 4.19 depending on where we buy it IE grocery store, gas station. and i am in Illinois
$ 6.00 though!!! that a lot for milk! i have 13 month old daughter and she lives off of the stuff…. it might be cheaper for you to buy a cow!
bit odd but okay, I am in Australia and milk is between $3.20 and $5.00 for 3 litres full cream full fat more for skinny.
I live in Jerusalem, Israel
milk is sold by the liter and is 5.79 shekels per liter (pronounced lee-ter)
there are 3.79 liters in a Gallon and 4.01 shekels is one u.s. dollar.
therefore a gallon would cost 21.94 shekels or 5.47 $
not much difference i guess.
I live in South Carolina and Publix brand is $4.99 a gallon. Its crazy how much dairy products have gone up. Eggs and cheese are very expensive now too….
Usually it’s between $3.50- $4.50

I live in Indiana and a gallon of milk costs $3.39 these days. Most of the time, you can buy 2 half gallons for cheaper (doesn’t make much sense).
Wow….. at $6.00 per gallon, you might as well just buy a cow and milk it yourself. LOL
i live in nm and i just paid 4.50 a gallon- at wal-mart!,
At the local grocery store where we get our milk…it is only 2.98/gal. I think…
6.00/gal is outrageous-why do they fary so much why can’t it all be the same price no matter where you get it from?
Funny, I just posted this same question after a trip to Walmart where Pet brand milk was listed at 6.08 per gallon and was graciously on “sale” at 5.08/gal. Walmart brand was 3.98. They had a brand of organic/antibiotic free milk on sale at 2 half gallons for $6.00 (cheaper than the Pet regular price!). My husband also suggested that we buy a cow, for all of you who said the same thing! I wonder how families in SC and in your state of GA are able to survive, especially those with many children. I did a small amount of investigating and found that the high milk price is being blamed on increases in energy and fuel, although one article began with the premise that it is also a result of Starbucks and McDonalds venturing into China and other new territories with their lattes and specialty coffees…..now that sounds like a crock!
Hi… I’m probably just blind, but I don’t see a date on this post? Is this from 2010?
Milk here in North Carolina is $4.44 for Maola and $4.98 for Pet Milk at Walmart!!
