Lentil varieties?
Is there a big difference among the different varieties of lentil, such as the brown, green, red and orange ones? I would like to try one recipe that lists “brown” lentil as one of its ingredients, but I was only able to get the green variety. Will that be okay?

wat r lentils?
google lentils and you will see what they are silly^^ They are like beans.
You can use any lentils. I always mix and match and sometimes use a little of each kind to give the recipe some color. They all pretty much taste the same to me.
While it’s true, that they taste pretty much the same, they don’t cook the same. Brown and black lentils need longer time, than orange and green – orange lentils will loose their colour rather quickly, and go mushy after just 10 minutes boiling.
