is what i ate today good or okay or bad? i’m a vegetarian and NOT trying to lose weight?



break fast – banana and weetabix, skim milk
snack – apple
lunch – 1/2 can vegetable soup, 2 slices wholemeal bread, a piece of dark chocolate
snack – 2 small apples
dinner – salad, wholemeal pancake and mushroom patty with chickpeas, fat free yogurt for dessert

i do a fairy physical job and walk 3 miles per day
i also had 3 marshmallows
Vegetarian Definition

Ovo-lacto vegetarian -

People who do not eat meat of animals such as chicken, pigs, cows, etc. Also they do not eat fish and seafood. But they do eat eggs, egg products, milk and other dairy products. (Some Americans claim that they are vegetarian but they eat chicken and fish, by this definition they are not vegetarian)

Lacto-vegetarian -

People who do not eat meat of animals, eggs, egg products, fish, and seafood. But they do use milk and dairy products.

Eggitarian -

A lacto-vegetarian, who would not eat eggs explicitly, but will eat cookies, cakes, etc. that may contain eggs.

Vegan -

People who avoid all animal products: meat, fish, seafood, eggs, egg products, milk, dairy products, and honey. In addition, they avoid wearing leather, wool, silk, and avoid using other animal products

First of all your not a vegetarian because you drink milk. Milk is an animal by product. Second of all you need to be taking a multi vitamin Every single day to get those Essential nutrients that you may not be getting from the certain foods you do not eat. But what your eating does sound very healthy and nutritious

Soya milk is good on weetabix, I would add some more wholemeal bread at dinner.

To correct the person who said you are not a vegetarian because you drink milk, that is a VEGAN! Vegetarians can have dairy!

Anyways, your diet seems fine to me.

first, i have to correct for sunshine
drinking milk does not make you NOT a vegetarian
vegetarians dont eat MEAT
VEGANS dont eat all animal products

what you ate sound a bit too little if you are not trying to lose weight
i think you should add a bit more fat to your diet to be hoenst
strange as it is, we do need some fat in our diet, so making all you eat, slim, fat free, salad, and fiber is not really any more healthy than eating only junk food

what we need is a balanced diet
that means some of everything, in moderation

The food you ear is quite okay, but it seems you are a bit low on the protein side. May be you can consider adding some nuts for snacks. About the salad, do you have a lot of leafy greens in it? If not, maybe you should add more.
