Is there a way to make rice balls without using short grained rice, but american long grained rice?
Or can I just cook it like I would short grained rice?

I always use long grained rice and it turns out good..

You can make it with the long grained rice. I do that because that’s all I have lol. The only problem is that the rice ball breaks apart easily. Some people thought that adding more water would make it stickier, but believe me, it only makes it wet. I would suggest looking for short grain rice though. It makes rice balls easier to make. So just go to an Asian grocery store wherever, and ask if they have short grain rice.
