Is it safe to put cayenne pepper in bird feeders?
Squirrels get in my wild bird feeders & eat the seeds, leaving the birds with nothing. I heard that putting cayenne in the feeders would stop the squirrels from eating the seeds. However, I need to know if this will hurt the birds before I try the cayenne. Thanks to anyone who can answer my question.

I’ve done it, birds didn’t seem to mind, squirrels thought it was tasty, too.
do not try it I did It once and It was to hot for even birds and the bird died?
Birds try anything, so I don’t know about the cayenne pepper. I have heard of cages that close the holes because of the squirrels weight, so you can look for those at
