Is it possible to grow your own peanuts?

I love peanuts and spend lots of money per week on them. I was wanting to grow my own but can’t seem to find peanut seeds anywhere. I live in an apartment and was wanting to know if it’s possible to grow your own peanuts and if so…

where can I purchase ORGANIC peanut seeds specifically cashews AND what they call Green peanuts like what is used for boiled peanuts.

I think you are getting confused. Peanuts grow under ground like a potato. If you have sandy rich soil and a long enough growing season, you can grow them at home.

Cashews are a nut from a tree, like walnuts, or hazel nuts.

Green pea nuts are dried green soy beans. You can grow soy beans in your garden.

the answer above is exactly right, EXCEPT for the explanation of “green peanuts”. Green peanuts are peanuts that have been harvested BUT NOT roasted and are left in their shells to air dry.

As far as purchasing organic seeds, I suggest you do a search with your favorite search engine and go from there. Be aware that growing peanuts takes a bit of space, perhaps more than you have available to you as an apartment dweller.
