I’m looking for a recipe involving cucumbers and sesame seeds and some type of brown sauce.help?
This guy in my french class brought in a dish for a food day that was basically cucumbers but they had sesame seeds and some type of brown (kinda sweet) sauce. I don’t remember his name, but the dish was Asian and pretty darn delicious. If anybody knows ofsomething like this, I’d be way excited to know!!

Did you try this one?
Spiced Cucumber Salad
Ingredients:
3 cucumbers
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soysauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon hot soybean paste
few drops of lemon juice
Clean and peel the cucmber. Cut into slices, and then smaller pieces. Add salt and mix. Let salt soak in for 15 minutes. Rinse cucumber and dry it. Blend cucumber first then add sesame seed, sugar, soy sauce, hot soybean paste, and lemon. Chill and serve.
I am sure it was just the basic Asian cucumber dish…cut cucumbers, sliced and a simple home made sauce…soy sauce, sesame oil and onion powder, ginger powder or grated root, along with some rice vinegar and sugar for sweetness. or honey. heat all ingredients to simmer stir in sugar to desired sweetness, until it dissolves and cool, then pour over the cucumbers and top with sesame seeds or roasted sesame seeds. a quicker way would be to just buy the sauce at the market. but this is the way my family makes it. I like to add onions!!!
but thats not the traditional way.
