I need to make a roast with a few ingredients, how?

I have a large elk roast I am making for company. I have lots of seasonings and butter, and one potato. I am cooking it in a crock pot, what would make this good? Also any suggestions to make a complete meal, that doesn’t involve using an oven or stove.
Thanks!

Ok you will get a fairly good stock base for gravy coming out of the meat itself. But a stock cube might help if you have one, if not its not really a problem either.

Dice the potato and throw it in along with the meat (A few more potatoes would be gd tho, then you could make it into a lovely casserole style dish)
If you have an onion and a few carrots, put these in too along with all the seasoning

I always make roasts in the crock pot with some onion soup mix…It really is just a bunch of seasoning like onion flakes and some other stuff….but you just put the roast and the seasoning in the pot with some water (not necessarily enough to cover it, I always go about half way up the roast) and then put in your veggies like the potato or carrots or stuff like that and let it cook all day…if it looks a little dry later on add more water…

You really need more ingredients, like carrots, potato’s, mushrooms, celery, garlic, onion and even cabbage cooked with the roast in the crock pot.I make mine with chuck roast, I season roast with salt and black pepper, then place inside crock pot with 1 cup beef broth,on top of that I add in this order (make all these pieces large as they will shrink some) chopped carrots, chopped celery, chopped onion, and 2 chopped cloves of garlic chopped potato’s Seasoned with salt and pepper.Cover and cook on low for 8 hours for a 4lb or larger roast. One hour before roast is done I add the mushrooms on top.,Be sure you season roast well..
