I have two bananas that need to be used. Can I add them in a yellow cake mix?
I am going to put instant banana pudding and walnuts in the mix and bake it in a bunt pan. What adjustments do should I make when I add the bananas. Other ingredients are, 4 lg eggs, 1/3 cup oil, 1 cup buttermilk, 1/4 c sugar. I dust the nuts in flour to keep them suspended in the batter during baking. I am wondering if I should adjust the wet ingredients because of the addition of the bananas.

They will replace the oil once mashed – so skip the oil and the recipe will be fine.
yes — if the measure up tp 1/3 c, you can use them to substitute the oil.
Take 2 tablespoons of oil out of the one third cup It will be okay
Idea- chocolate banana bread pudding
My recipe calls for 1 cup water, 1 cup mashed bananas and 1/2 cup oil so the amount of oil isn’t really changed. Since you are using buttermilk you might be able to cut back on the oil say to 2 Tbsp. or so and reduce the eggs to 3 since you only have 2 bananas. Good luck.
Why don’t you just eat the bananas.
