I have a Pork Roast recipe that calls for a dry white wine as 1 of the ingredients. What wine should I use?
I’ve read many reviews that say not Chardonay. Any of you cook with wine and have great success?

Try a dry riesling.
Pinot Grigio
Cooking wine.
Use any white wine that isn’t sweet and too fruity but make sure that you can drink it. You shouldn’t cook with a wine you wouldn’t drink!
any wine that is listed as a 0 on the sugar table..personnally i like chardonnay..but all the others are good choices too!
Don’t sweat it. If it’s a white wine you like to drink, go for it. Pork goes nicely with a little sweet, so even an off-dry or sweet wine will work. I have several yummy recipes that I like best with a “full, rich, dessert Sherry.”
Please don’t buy or use “cooking wine.” That is generally the worst grade of wine to which salt is added so the servants won’t drink it.
Be kinder to your servants!
