I have a package of kidney beans?
I have a package of kidney beans…?
and on the back it says they have been machine cleaned.
Will they grow if I plant them?
They have a little white spot in between the two curves.

Most dried beans will grow. Since they are a cheap commodity, it is not worth the expense to irradiate them and render them sterile. The white spot is juat where they were originally attached to the pod. If you want to be sure that they will grow, put a few of them in a saucer on a layer of damp cotton wool, in a few days they should start to sprout.
Plant the beans that start to sprout, and discard those that don’t.
