I have a 2 month old filly that is changing colors?
the mother is sorrel w/ flaxen mane and tail and the father was solid black. The babys head is shedding off to dark bay but the rest of her body is turning black does that mean she will be a dark bay or black, she is also getting white hairs in her mane and tail

dark bay, she will be beautiful i see the future x
I’d suspect she’ll be a dark bay, but I’m not all-knowing about horse genetics.

She sounds beautiful.
She may be a mix between a dark bay and black.
As fillys/colts get older (just like babies) their coat (hair) can change colors.
My younger sister’s hair was black when she was born, and now it’s a honey color.
WOW- congrats to you for giving birth to a horse! That must have been some rough labor!
