How would you take baby perch?

I caught some tiny baby perch with a net and thought about taking them home and putting them in my pond. I know someone who has done this. How would I take the fish back with me? Or is it not allowed??

Fill a five gallon bucket with clean water from where you caught the perch and they will travel fine unless you are a couple hours from home. In that case stop by a gas station and blast their air hose in the water for a minute or two. This has worked for me many times.
