How would you cook the following ingredients for one dish?
I have the following ingredients:
spring onions
1 onion
fresh ginger
eggs
1 green bell pepper
1 jalapeno pepper
garlic
1 large carrot
lemons
fresh cilantro
fresh parsley
maple syrup
honey
peanut butter
pasta
rice (glutinous/basmati/brown)
…but I’m just starting to learn to make dishes and I’d like to read other people’s ideas of what to make. (I know the cooking process pretty well.) You can use as few ingredients as you like and add only one ingredient which isn’t on the list. Assume you have any spices/seasonings and alcohol at your disposal. The dish can be simple or extravagant. Thanks!

Okay my one ingridient that’s not on there is chicken.
Mix it all up and make a very interesting stir fry.
Vegetable Omelette
3eggs, well beaten
3 tablespoons chopped red bell pepper
2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons shreddered carrot
3 tsp cilantro
3 tsp paesley
Salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
1. Heat a large skillet coated with olive oil cooking spray over medium heat.
2. Add the eggs, allowing them to cover the bottom of the pan. Cook for 3 minutes, or until the bottom begins to set.
3. When nearly cooked, top half of the omelette with the bell peppers, carrot, parsley, cilatro , salt, and black pepper.
4. Carefully fold the remaining half over the filling, and cook for 2 minutes, or until cooked through.
Brazilian Garlic Rice
Ingredients
1/2 cup olive oil
6 cloves garlic, sliced very thinly
3 tablespoons shelled pumpkin seeds (pepitas, find them in the latino section of many stores)
2 cups long grain rice
1/2 onion, minced (about 3/4 cup)
4 cups water
salt
hot sauce
Directions
In a small saucepan saute the sliced garlic in the olive oil on low heat until garlic is crispy and light golden brown.
Drain garlic on paper towels and reserve 1-1/2 tablespoons of the garlicky olive oil.
In a small skillet, toast pumpkin seeds lightly (they’ll begin popping all over the place), then finely mince them.
Set aside.
Transfer the 1-1/2 tablespoons of reserved olive oil to a large saucepan and saute the onion and rice together for about 3 minutes.
Add water and salt, bring to a boil then lower heat, cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes or until done and liquid is absorbed.
Serve with minced toasted pumpkin seeds and garlic chips sprinkled on top; provide hot sauce for sprinkling also.

Make the rice of your choice.
Slice the carrot and saute with onions, ginger, peppers and garlic in olive oil or vegetable oil.
I would also cut up some chicken into strips or cubes and saute that with the veggies. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add a little soy sauce and maybe some maple syrup or honey to thicken to a glaze or white wine and a little lemon.
Serve over rice and chop up a little cilantro or parsley and sprinkle that on top and you have a nice stir fry.
Or you could make a fried rice – make up the rice ahead of time. Dice the carrot, onion and peppers and saute with a little olive oil and ginger and/or garlic. Add the rice and some soy sauce and cook through. In the last couple of minutes, scramble the egg and add that to the mixture and cook the egg through and serve.

Sautee the vegetables first then throw in the rest.
Make an egg scramble or an omlet. Use the eggs, bell pepper, spring or reg onion, jalepeno, garlic, parsley, and cheese.
As a side do toast with honey peanut butter,and maybe even the maple syrup.

Cook up some basmatti rice, add some of the onion, parsley, garlic, ginger, bell pepper, shred the carrot, and either add the scrambles egg or make a sauce with either the soy sauce and honey or soy and maple syrup. I don’t know I just thinking here.
