I would think the people at the store would be able to help you.
Wow. You’re not supposed to cook those. Just eat them, dude.
Stretch Island food company makes a product called “Fruit Leather”. It is the natural foods equivalent of fruit roll-ups, so cooking it is not recommended.
Sounds like you could put bits in STUFFING when you stuff a chicken or cornish hen, otherwise I would use it in a spinach salad, tossed with some pecans and feta cheese.
looks like the fruit you purchased is not supposed to be cooked. You are suppose to eat it as is. It says you can put it in your pocket and take it with you… read this:
You can of course put it in some water, and simmer it, and that would hydrate it again, and maybe you could make some apple sauce out of it???? It is not meant to be cooked though.
AH HA! You want to make them yourself… well, you need to get a food dehydrator, and mostly anything you put in there will dry out. You would make a mush of the fruit, spread it on some wax paper, and put it in the dehydrator…
Cheers.?.
Cheers to what.?.
Whole Foods.?.
Stretch Island.?.
i dont understand… srry.
This excellent recipe is provided by the Department of Agriculure.
Use any type of ripe fruit. Apples or Concord grapes should be cooked until tender and made into sauce first. Add 1 tablespoon of lime or lemon juice per quart of fruit for fruit that might darken.
Remove all pits stones, and seeds, and peel if desired.
Puree fruit in a blender until smooth.
Oil a cookie sheet, or cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. (I’ve found that the puree sticks to wax paper and is hard to salvage.) Pour puree 1/4-inch deep onto a cookie sheet with sides.
Distribute evenly.
Turn oven onto the lowest setting, place cookie sheet on a rack, and crack the oven door. Cook for 4-6 hours until dry and the fruit leather is not sticky.
