How to grill rainbow trout from Costco?

I just bought some rainbow trout from Costco and want to stuff them with lemon/lime/garlic/etc. and put them on the grill. The have the skin and head still on with the guts cleaned out of them. Is there anything else I need to do/clean before grilling these? Should I cut off the head before serving??? Any tips will help. Thanks

You don’t need to cut the heads if you do not want to…some people even eat the meat off the heads too..or use them in soup. (not I) Anyway, I found the best way is to season just as you have and wrap them up in aluminum foil…like in an envelope. That way nothing will fall through the grill into the fire and you still get the grill flavor. Fish steaks, like swordfish or salmon steaks can go directly on the grill. But fillets are best cooked wrapped, then they steam in their own juice and come out yummy.

Brush with olive oil, then grill .
Only take the head off after cooking,if the person you are with doesn’t like fresh fish.

I have posted 3 different ‘trout’ recipes below. They all sound great! Usually the fish is dressed and wrapped in tin foil. Please check out the sites below for more details! Good luck, wish I were there, love some tasty fish!

just season put garlic lime olive oil and extra stuff inside and put it on the grill…if u want to make sure, that everything stays inside sew the belly together. i wouldn’t put it in tin foil, because if u do it that way u don’t get the “grill flavor” just pay attention that u don’t have to high temperature on the grill. and i wouldn’t cut the head off either, in my eyes it looks much nice with head
